Environmental Sustainability
A value for the environment and the future
Minox has always promoted the use of stainless steel as a highly environmentally friendly material which does not involve problems in terms of disposal and regeneration, unlike others commonly used for the preservation of liquid foods.
In particular, the stainless steel alloy differs from other materials in a range of distinctive strengths.
Safety and taste
Stainless steel, AISI 304/316, is characterized as the safest material for food preservation, when compared with the risks related to plastic, especially in case of heating in the microwave oven or when used in the dishwasher.
Ease o fuse and care
It is a lightweight and durable material, and therefore suitable for transporting foodstuffs. Stainless steel has a strong resistance to stains and rust, and is extremely easy to clean, unlike plastic containers.
Respect for the environment
Plastic is not biodegradable or easily recyclable, so that only a fraction of all products can be recycled, and only a very small amount is actually collected and processed. Stainless steel is 100% recyclable and the production of many containers is made using a high percentage of recycled material.
Cost
One of the advantages of plastic is its cheapness. Stainless steel, however, while relatively more expensive, emerges as a material by far more long lasting and resistant, neutralizing over the long term the initial cost incurred.
